The boy cowers, teeth bared in a hiss and four eyes moon wide and glassy where they peek out of a crevice between two large slabs of stone. Four arms are slung tightly around his body in a heartbreaking attempt at self soothing, and sharp nails are digging crescents into the thin skin stretched over protruding ribs.

The kid is terrified. And hurt. And starving.

Yuji lowers himself into a crouch, hands splayed on his knees to assure he’s holding neither chains nor weapons, and attempts a smile.

“They’re gone now, I promise. You can come out.”

“Go away!” Sukuna—the child—rasps, “Or- I’ll eat you!“

When she looked out of the carriage at church, Ginny saw Harry walk inside, looking rather upset. She got out of the carriage before the rest.

“What happened?” she asked Charlie.

He straightened his jacket. “Mr Corner came by—we assumed for well wishes—and they had some words.”

“Which words?”

Charlie looked over at Ron uneasily.

“Which words?”

Ron kissed Rose’s head and walked over to Ginny. “Mr Corner told Potter that you would never be faithful to him.”

“That is not too bad.” She sighed in relief. “Mr Corner is an idiot.”

“There was more.” Ron shook his head. “Corner then said that you were soulmates and you were simply fickle and young. You will see sense soon.”

Ginny breathed out. “Great.”

“Lord Potter may have threatened him.”

She winced.

“And then… Mr Corner made a comment about your body, and Lord Potter tried to punch him,” Ron continued. “I stopped him, told him it was bad luck for his wedding.”

“Oh, good.”

“So I punched him instead.” Ron smiled at her.

It was a beautiful afternoon at the Troll Tree, and in Grandma Rosiepuff's Pod, Baby Branch and his young buddies Hype, Ablaze, Trickee, and Boom were having their playdate in the living room, working on their brand new song that they just came up with twenty minutes ago.

"Are you guys ready for this?" Baby Branch asked.

Ablaze, who fixed up his bold, red hair, nodded at him. "Ready!"

Boom did a few jumping jacks while nodding. "I'm ready steady. Or is it steady ready? I'm super-duper ready!"

Trickee let out a shy smile and nodded too. "I think so. I think that we got it down now."

"Hype? Are you ready?" Baby Branch asked.

Hype, who was Baby Branch's closest best friend, sucked on a blue pacifier. Once he stopped, he put his pacifier in his hair.

"I'm ready! I'm super excited to do this!! Let's start, let's start!! When are we going to start? I'm ready-steady, bestie!!" Hype said, jumping.

Ablaze, Hype, Boom, and Trickee whistled in unison. Baby Branch crawled towards the radio and pushed the "play button". He smiled at his buddies who smiled at him back while whistling. Baby Branch started singing along with his friends next while dancing. - - - What do you guys think?

7 Scandals and a Baby sneak peek from chapter 7 as promised!

Right after her dance with Harry, the music stopped and Lord Neville Longbottom called them over. She stood with her brothers—at least most of them—and Harry stood on her other side.

There were 4 sections with curtains covering the piece he made. A centrepiece was being rolled in, still covered by a tall sheet draped over it. The first curtain was pulled back and it showed a lovely array of flowers, arranged in such a way that it formed a rainbow. People gasped and applauded.

Lord Longbottom looked proud of it and hurried to the second curtain. Two men opened it and there was a hanging wall of plants and flowers, slowly turning around as it hung from the ceiling. It was magnificent by all accounts. As Lord Longbottom explained, Harry shuffled a bit closer to her. The back of his pointer finger ran across the skin between her sleeves and her gloves.

She looked at him and saw his pupils dark, looking at her and not the piece. She needed him to stop but she did not want him to stop. He met her eyes, his finger pausing. Against her better judgement she turned her head back towards the marvellous plants and let him continue his sneaky path down her arm while everyone was distracted.

They moved a third time to the third curtains. Harry remained by her side. The curtains were pulled apart to reveal a flower arrangement in front of a window… except no one was looking at the flowers. A couple in the corner of the window on the outside hurriedly pulled their clothes back on. The Lady pulled her dress down, the man pulled his breeches up. People gasped.
